This park is high at 9,660 ft and boy did I feel it. I had altitude sickness for the entire five days. If you have any respiratory issues, you probably should stay clear of this park. Other camper…Full review by mysugarpie

Hi I’m from Southern California and my family is planning a trip to o Divide Colorado for Thanksgiving. My guess is that it will be snowing at that time. So lacking driving experience in the snow. Which route would be best to take? I don’t mind if it takes a couple of hours more to reach our destination. I have considered going through Albuquerque New Mexico and then north from there. Any suggestions or advise will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Gina

Waite, I agree with jim below on directions. To help put your mind at ease they are well equipped to clear the roads of snow here and the park is not that far from divide, the hill in the park is a bit steep but I would think they would have that clear, as always when driving into a possible snow are its a good idea to carry extra water, blankets/ clothes in case of emergency, i really don't think you will have any problems, have a great trip in this beautiful area!
