Even the transfer coaches take an hr to go from lindos to Rhodes and so it depends how much your time is worth and if you want to travel like the locals. Think they go every hr from the square in Lindos
Greek food is fresh and cooked to order. Most of what is served is locally grown, there is a wealth of choice, food is good. Enjoy, you are on holiday!
