Our fave beach in Guadeloupe. It is so beautiful and sand is white. Sea is crystal clear. You can get food behind the beach.Full review by Crazy_Jim_83

Sorry I found that deal, but anyway. I would get a "Gite" on VRBO or AirBnB near St Anne or St Franscois. Rental car is a must. Traffic is horrendous. You can find at the Tourist office a map with 6 suggested routes to see everything. We combined it into 3 and saw it all. The maps and suggestions are all in French, but we made it out enough to see them all. Keep in mind , ALL of the places, like Botanical Gardens, Parks and distilleries are in French. We paid the entrance fees than fumbled through the sites on our own. That was a waste of time. Be careful at some of the beaches along the way. Apparently the French welfare system is like ours, everybody gets a check. That was more pronounced on the Basse Terre side, not sure why. I would use the beach at Pierrre & Vac since it is on a public beach, just go down the road along the fence, there's free parking, beach chairs, pools and amenities that we paid for at the resort. I know this question is over a year old, but if you are considering going, this may help.
