Can you do everything in one day or do you need more than a day to feel like you have explored the park?

Yes! This is a small, but fun park and can all be done in a day. Last time we went was on a Sunday. We got there around 1030 and had done everything by 3.

I have never seen any pets admitted to the park. It does have all kinds of animals and like the first answer said, may cause problems. There is a new Dog Resort between Bryson City and Cherokee, Around Ela.. I am not sure what all it does accept because they just opened. Might be a place to send your dog while you go out for the day. It is called Mariner's Manor Pet Resort. There is also a website on the internet called Rover. They have pet sitters and you may be able to find one in this area.
