Looking for suggestions, ideas on clothing options appropriate for the symphony. Taking into consideration the season and style of music to be performed. Going to see the music of Prince, starring Marshall Charloff. It is scheduled for November 8th. This will be my first time to attending a symphony hall and I want to make sure that I'm not under dressed. The only dress I own is a black knee length. I've worn it once. To my husband's funeral. Don't think I will ever wear it again. So, I'm thinking about skinny jeans or maybe palazzo pants. I love beautiful clothes but, rarely buy them because I spend most of the time in work clothes. The tickets are a special treat to myself and who knows how long it will be before I do something like this again. If anyone has any suggestions please help this old lady out!

If you dress kind of dressy casual it should be good. You'll see shiny, bedazzled kinds of patrons, suits for men, and jeans for others. Generally the symphony has a fancier dress but the "music of" or guests just playing at the Symphony hall doesn't. Hope this makes sense. All that to say, dress how you want because you'll se. Bit of everything there. We tend to dress up just a smidge, but there at Lee LOTS who don't.
