I’m off here in December for a mini break for me & my girls , not really sure what to expect as it’s was a groupon mystery stay, my girls are 21 & 15 , I’ve a feeling it will be boring for them , is it expensive to eat out ? & for taxes getting out & about Thanks

Similar cities are wonderful at Christmas- none of the tasteless tacky commercialisation that has so devalued this in the U.K. The city centre is smaller than I expected - this is not Prague but it is still lovely. Prices are below EU average- coming from expensive Finland was very welcome. However in the city centre prices can still resemble those at hone. Amazing market very clise by. Did not leave Riga nor did I use taxis. Have a great time.
