Terrible place. Should be shut down. Over touristic. 4 hr wait time to get in. To many idiots hoping to see elk. Walk into any restaurant and they are 9n the menu.Full review by notalocal1974

NO! Once you're in, you're in. If you then go through the park and into Estes Park, then getting back to Grand Lake without a time entry permit, you need to wait until after 2PM to go …

NO! Once you're in, you're in. If you then go through the park and into Estes Park, then getting back to Grand Lake without a time entry permit, you need to wait until after 2PM to go back to the west side of the park.

I would check the website or call. We went during the off-season when there were no restrictions in place. We drove our rental car through the park
