We visited Zwinger in 2023. Unfortunately the exterior was a building site BUT architecture and art of this museum is stunning. Not quite the Uffizzi level but close.Full review by piotrekiola

No you don’t need to prebook but it is closed on Mondays ... the grounds are open but you can’t access the exhibits.

There's a big paying parking lot less than 10 min walk from Zwinger, near the Neumarkt. It is paying in coins, so have them with you. Dresden city center is small, easy covered on foot.

There no charge for seeing the place from outside, unless you want to see the inside or exhibitions.
