It is the most scenic golf course in the DFW area. It is an 18-hole course partially surrounded by the beautiful Lake Tawakoni which is a 37,000 acre lake. As the name implies you are likely to see a lot of deer around the course in the morning and evenings. The course fees are very affordable and the staff at the Clubhouse is very friendly.

Deer Run is a great place to golf. The course is constantly being up graded. Friendly owners and friendly golfers. Give it a try. *****Full review by David Lee Huggins
