Painted Rock Petroglyph Site, approximately 90 miles southwest of Phoenix, Arizona, provides visitors the opportunity to view an archaeological site containing hundreds of figures and designs carved into rocks, known as petroglyphs. The day-use site is right next door to the campground and offers two shaded picnic areas and a small interpretive trail around the petroglyph site with informational displays.The campground offers visitors 59 individual campsites and two large group sites featuring picnic tables and steel fire rings. There is no water or electric hookups at the campground, but there are two vault toilets and trash collection.

It is about 1/2 hour away at 26 miles distance from Space Age (you can confirm this on Google Maps). Less than 5 min to I-8 West Bound (at mile post 115), exit at mile post 102 (about 10 minutes), then North on Painted Rock Dam Road (about 15 minutes).
A review on this site says you can not bring a pet into this park. Is that true? We have a 30' 5tth self-contained 5th wheel trailer and a 5 pound poodle. Will we be allowed in there?

Agree with Charlie. It's an honor system payment and I've never seen anyone there. Worth the minimal risk.
