Ole Miss baseball's run in the SEC tournament came up short after a loss to Vanderbilt, but the Rebels got some much-needed wins for NCAA tournament

A scary moment unfolded in the baseball quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament between the Arkansas Razorbacks and Ole Miss Rebels at Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Alabama. The play in question unfolded in the bottom of the second inning with Arkansas' Cam Kozeal at the plate.

After a run to the SEC Tournament Championship, three Commodores were named to the All-Tournament team, including tournament MVP Brodie Johnston.

The No. 8 seed Vols beat the No. 9 seed Alabama 15-10 in Hoover, Alabama, on May 21 with a huge offensive performance. Tennessee scored 10 straight runs after falling behind 6-5 in the top of the fifth. Every player in the Tennessee starting lineup had at least one hit while eight had at least two hits and three had three hits.

Vanderbilt comes into Sunday with wins over No. 12-seed Oklahoma in the quarterfinals and No. 8-seed Tennessee in the semifinals while Ole Miss is playing its fourth game of the week, taking down No. 10-seed Florida, No. 2-seed Arkansas and No. 3-seed LSU en route to an appearance in the conference championship game.
