Everyone at Rate Field was disappointed when Garrett Crochet's no-hit bid was broken up in the eighth inning Sunday. Alex Cora, however, was relieved.

One never wants to go full doomsday in April, but the Boston Red Sox are making it difficult to be optimistic about their offense. Since scoring 18 runs on Sunday Night Baseball on Apr. 6, the Red Sox have scored just 14 runs in eight games.

But, pitching is not Cora's only concern. Boston has been abysmal defensively, leading the Majors with 20 errors. Alex Bregman, a Gold Glove winner at third, leads the team with four errors, and Kristian Campbell, Jarren Duran, Triston Casas, and Blake Sabol all have two apiece.
