President Donald Trump has moved to keep his former defense attorney Alina Habba on the job as the top federal prosecutor in New Jersey, even though a panel of judges refused to extend her tenure.

The president wants to keep his former personal lawyer as New Jersey’s U.S. attorney.

Ms. Habba seemed to reference that sequence of events in her social media post announcing that she would remain in the job.
