In a post on X, the folks at Hardware Unboxed claim that if the Radeon RX 9070 XT sells out shortly after launch, it would mean that retailers sold more 9070 XT cards than the entirely of NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50 series lineup.

AMD’s answer to Nvidia’s RTX 50-series GPUs is arriving next week — and its new graphics cards are aggressively priced against Nvidia’s $749 GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and $549 RTX 5070. The AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT ship on March 6th for $549 and $599, respectively, one day after the RTX 5070 arrives.

But now, the wait is over. AMD has officially announced the MSRP of their latest mid-range GPUs. The RX 9070 and the 9070XT will launch on March 6th at $549 and $599 respectively. The pricing positions the GPUs close to the RX7900XT and the 7900XTX, which are quite a bit more expensive than these new releases.

AMD has officially announced all of the RDNA 4 details we've been waiting for, and performance looks to be pretty impressive for next-gen Radeon.

AMD's first Radeon RX 9000-series graphics cards, the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT, will land on March 6 at $549 and $599 MSRPs. They'll feature new RDNA 4 GPU architecture with improved ray tracing and support for FSR 4.

That’s not even factoring in the challenge of acquiring one of NVIDIA’s RTX 50-series GPUs due to low stock. While the $549 price is nice to see, it’s on par with what NVIDIA is charging. So it’s likely to be less about price for people who gravitate toward this model and more about general availability.
