AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su called the collaboration a milestone for both companies, noting the long-standing relationship

In addition to AMD, both Apple and Nvidia have said that some of their chips are being produced at TSMC's Arizona plant. Su noted AMD had completed an acquisition of ZT Systems, a leading supplier of AI servers in the U.S., which expands its U.S. footprint.

With reciprocal tariffs on imported semiconductors set to take effect soon, both NVIDIA and AMD are embracing manufacturing within the US.
