CHICAGO (CBS) — At least one person was killed and 10 others were wounded in weekend shootings across the city as of Sunday afternoon. The ages of the victims range from 19 to 41. In the first shooting of the weekend, a 29-year-old man was shot in his shoulder just before 10 p.m. in the 8700 block of South Racine Avenue.

A 17-year-old boy is facing attempted murder charges after he allegedly fired shots at Chicago police officers.

The three injured officers were reported in serious-to-critical condition after the crash in the Morgan Park neighborhood. Jermont Terry reports.

Chicago police said the victim was arguing with another man who pulled out a gun and shot him before driving away in a red SUV.

An unmarked patrol car had its lights and sirens on, Chicago Police said, when it crashed into a red SUV near the intersection of 115th and Ashland. The force of the crash knocked the Jeep SUV on its side.
