Another year, another award for Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett. The Sporting News announced Garrett as their NFL Defensive Player of the Year. It’s the second straight time he has been selected for the award.

Myles Garrett isn't going anywhere any time soon. Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry told reporters at the Senior Bowl that he will not trade Garrett no matter what the team is offered.  Berry was also asked directly if the Browns would turn down an offer of two first-round picks.

Before the official AP awards are announced on Feb. 6, the Browns revealed major news regarding Garrett. The star defensive lineman has been named The Sporting News Defensive Player of the Year. "Clear room on that trophy shelf, Myles!" posted the Browns.

Browns general manager Andrew Berry spoke on Tuesday about the organization's plan to keep Garrett with the franchise until he retires. He's already been with the team since he was drafted in 2017. Garrett won't become a free agent until 2027, but the team is open to exploring an extension with the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

Myles Garrett hinted a trade request could be on the table if he does not receive the kind of answers he likes regarding the Browns’ long-term plan. The Browns continue to speak out against any deal involving the 2023 Defensive Player of the Year.
