The Chicago Cubs have brought infielder Nicky Lopez back on a major-league deal after he had spent spring training with the organization.

Nicky Lopez was at home in Arizona with his wife on Tuesday night, watching the Cubs’ wild comeback win over the Dodgers. One day later, he was wearing a Cubs uniform and standing in front of his new locker inside Wrigley Field.

The Chicago Cubs added infielder Nicky Lopez and reliever Drew Pomeranz as part of a flurry of moves before Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lopez signed a one-year contract and Pomeranz was placed on the roster two days after he was acquired in a trade with Seattle.
