Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is hyping up a former first-round pick who struggled during his rookie year as he enters a crucial sophomore season.

It wasn’t like the Cowboys’ offense was bad under Mike McCarthy, the previous head coach/play caller. Last season, the Cowboys finished 17th in total offensive yards (5,567) and 25th in yards per play (5.0).

Last summer, Prescott went through his own contract negotiations with Jerry Jones and the Cowboys' front office. Ultimately, it resulted in him becoming the highest-paid player in league history with a $240 million contract. CeeDee Lamb, who held out of training camp in 2024, also got a mammoth four-year contract worth $136 million.
