A little over a year ago, former New York Giants tight end Darren Waller decided to hang up his cleats following his lone season in the Big Apple. Thirteen months later, he is returning with a new team, the Miami Dolphins, and a fresh perspective on life and the game.

The Miami Dolphins are currently partaking in NFL training camp as they gear up for the upcoming 2025 season. The Dolphins are looking to bounce back from the disappointment of the 2024 campaign and have made a flurry of moves this offseason, including recently trading Jalen Ramsey to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Additionally, the Dolphins have signed veteran offensive lineman Daniel Brunskill and waived quarterback Brett Gabbert. Gabbert’s brother, Blaine, was the No. 10 overall pick of the 2011 draft and most recently served as the Chiefs’ backup in 2023.
