President Donald Trump has fired the director of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Rohit Chopra, in the latest purge of a Biden administration holdover. Rohit Chopra, head of the top watchdog agency for consumer finance, submitted his resignation early Saturday after President Donald Trump fired him overnight, according a resignation letter he posted online and a person familiar with the situation.
