Dropbox has announced it will discontinue Dropbox Passwords on October 28, ending the five-year run of its credential management service.

Dropbox has stated that the decision to close the service was made so the company can focus on “enhancing other features in our core product,” and according to PCMag, they recommend migrating user data over to 1Password – even including a tool to assist users with the process.

After five years in the password manager space, Dropbox is planning to shut down the security application designed to host all of your credentials.
