The New York Knicks have fired coach Tom Thibodeau, just days after their first trip to the Eastern Conference finals in 25 years.

In five seasons with the Knicks, Thibodeau posted a 226-174 record and led New York to the playoffs in four of those seasons.

From left to right, the candidates all gave thumbs down that they disapproved of the decision — including the front runners in former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and state Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani — until Michael Blake gave an emphatic thumbs up.
