President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador announced that his country had taken in more than 200 prisoners whom the U.S. has accused of being part of the Tren de Aragua gang.

By Ted Hesson WASHINGTON -More than 200 alleged members of a Venezuelan gang have been deported by the U.S. and sent to El Salvador where they were taken to a high-security prison, the Salvadoran president said on Sunday.

The crown jewel of El Salvador’s aggressive anti-crime strategy is a mega-prison where visitation, recreation and education are not allowed.
