Bayern Munich is outraged following the serious injury suffered by Alphonso Davies during the recent FIFA international break. The Canadian defender, a key player in Vincent Kompany’s squad, tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during his national team’s match against the United States in the CONCACAF Nations League,

Davies suffered a torn ACL in his right knee, an injury which requires surgery and several months of rehabilitation.

"We assumed it was nothing serious and then something like this comes up," said Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund. "That's negligent and not professional."
