Heavy rain, gusty winds to bring risk of flooding to parts of Massachusetts Wednesday
A very "spring-like" storm system is heading to Massachusetts on Wednesday night with a brief period of downpours and gusty winds that could bring localized flooding to some areas.The storm is already packing a punch through the middle of the country.
Mass. weather: Soaking rains, melting snow could cause flooding
“Mild temperatures today will help ripen and melt the existing snowpack, especially near and south of I-90,” the National Weather Service warned. “The combination of rain and snowmelt will increase the potential for isolated ice jam flooding and even some minor river flooding for parts of the region tonight into Thursday.”
