Rob Walter has replaced Gary Stead as New Zealand's new head coach ahead of their tri-series against South Africa and Zimbabwe

Rob Walter has been named as the new New Zealand head coach of the men's national team after Gary Stead left after his 7-year tenure came to an end. Walter worked as the head coach of the South Africa team till April this year.

New Zealand Cricket have confirmed the appointment of Rob Walter as men's national team head coach, following the departure of Gary Stead. Taking over from mid-June, Walter's first assignment will be a tour to Zimbabwe in July, with his contract running until the end of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup in New Zealand and Australia in late 2028.
