Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel has "operated clans" in Gaza in a video published on social media Thursday after an opposition leader accused him of arming Palestinian militias in order to bolster opposition to Hamas.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel is arming clans in Gaza that he says are opposed to Hamas. His comments came after Israeli media reports quoted defence sources as saying Netanyahu had authorised giving weapons to one particular group in the south of Gaza.

The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation has closed its aid distribution sites for the day, without giving a date on when they would open again.

Greta Thunberg, Yasemin Acar and other activists are sailing to Gaza. The activist group they’re apart of, The Freedom Flotilla Coalition, is attempting to bring aid and raise international awareness over the ongoing humanitarian crisis.

Activist Greta Thunberg said in a video released on Wednesday (June 4) the story the world needs to focus on is what she called Israel's "siege and oppression" of Gaza, rather than her voyage with a humanitarian group to deliver aid to the enclave.
