The Houston Texans have reached an agreement with nickel corner/safety Jalen Pitre on a three-year contract extension that will keep him in Houston until the 2028 season, two sources told the Houston Chronicle.

The Houston Texans agreed to a three-year, $39 million extension with safety Jalen Pitre, sources familiar with the deal told UPI on Friday.

The move paid off with Pitre tying his career-high with eight passes defensed in 12 games. Thomas Valentine of Pro Football Focus named him the most improved player on the Texans during the 2024 season, touting his development as a run defender and seven pressures on 49 pass-rush attempts.
