Veteran defensive lineman Jerry Tillery is heading to Kansas City. Tillery is signing a one-year deal with the Chiefs, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. The 28-year-old Tillery was a 2019 first-round pick of the Chargers who then played for the Raiders before signing with the Vikings last year.

On Friday, March 14, news broke that the Kansas City Chiefs had agreed to terms on a one-year contract with former Minnesota Vikings DL Jerry Tillery.

On Friday of week one of NFL free agency, the Kansas City Chiefs lost one veteran defender and gained another, formerly of the rival Raiders.

The Minnesota Vikings ' defensive line was a weak spot last year, especially in their defeats to the Rams and the Lions. They addressed that quickly in free agency this week by signing Jonathan Allen and Javon Hargrave. With two impact players coming in, some players in the rotation are due to see themselves out.
