The pressure is one for House Republicans to pass President Trump's massive tax cuts and spending bill by his July 4 deadline.

Thousands are expected to head down to the National Mall on Friday for 4th of July fireworks but there are concerns about the House debate on the Big Beautiful Bill putting a different celebration on the Mall at risk.

Oshkosh protesters plan to rally against President Trump's "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" at Opera House Square July 3. The bill proposes large tax cuts, reduces Medicaid spending and increases ICE funding. Opponents fear the bill will lead to loss of health care coverage, harm rural hospitals and increase deportations.
