But according to a new report from ESPN's Matt Miller, the Saints may not take a QB at No. 9 despite the need at the position. That's because internally, the Saints are reportedly high on the upside of second-year quarterback Spencer Rattler.

If there's a potential spoiler option, Dart could be gaining steam for New Orleans' decision-makers. The MMQB's Albert Breer said on Wednesday that the Saints have done a "ton of work" on Dart but that they may try to draft him later and not necessarily with the ninth pick.

Breer highlighted the fact former Saints coach Dennis Allen was a large reason Carr was brought to New Orleans in 2023 and Oakland in 2014. With Allen being fired in November and a new regime stepping in, the writing is on the wall for a fresh start brewing, and even rumors that Carr himself might want out of New Orleans.
