Jones first suffered her ankle sprain on June 5 versus the Washington Mystics. The five-time WNBA All-Star and reigning WNBA Finals MVP rolled her ankle on the foot of Mystics rookie Kiki Iriafen after jumping for a bank shot in the paint. The Liberty medical staff had to help the 6-foot-6 Jones off the floor.

The one-seeded Liberty continue to add to their roster post All-Star break — and this one comes as a bit of a surprise. On Monday, the team landed a commitment from 2019 Finals MVP Erica Meesseman who hasn't appeared in the WNBA in three years.
