Seyfried plays Michaela “Mickey” Fitzpatrick, a Kensington patrol officer who discovers a string of murders in the neighborhood’s drug market. As Mickey attempts to locate the killer, and find her missing sister Kacey (Ashleigh Cummings), she confronts dark memories from her childhood spent in the neighborhood.

For Amanda Seyfried, who’s played both a trend-obsessed popular girl in Mean Girls and a biotech fraud in The Dropout, taking on the role of a Philadelphia police officer in Long Bright River is another challenge in her resume of eclectic roles.
