But in the end, the Pistons filled one of their biggest roster needs, getting a secondary ballhandler, with the addition of veteran point guard Dennis Schröder from the Utah Jazz in the final hour before the deadline, the team announced on Thursday night.

Dennis Schröder was apart of the Toronto Raptors team which lost to the Detroit Pistons last season, ending a 28-game losing skid.

Schröder, 31, is a 12-year veteran, drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in 2013. Detroit will be Schröder's ninth team in eight seasons, including his short time at Golden State.
