A Powerball ticket sold in Texas won $2 million but just missed the $381 million jackpot, lottery officials say. The ticket matched five winning numbers and the Power Play, but not the Powerball, in the drawing Saturday, March 15, the Texas Lottery said. The winning ticket was sold at a QuikTrip in San Antonio, lottery officials said.

The winning ticket was purchased at Quiktrip located at 848 Hot Wells Boulevard, in San Antonio and is worth a whopping $2 million dollars. Their Quick Pick ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers drawn (12-28-33-36-54), but not the red Powerball number (5).

No tickets were sold matching all six numbers in Saturday evening’s drawing of the multi-state Powerball lottery. Two tickets, worth $1 million each, were sold in Massachusetts and Texas, matching five numbers but not the Powerball.

A Powerball player in Virginia fell short of the $20 million jackpot prize, but still won big, lottery officials said. John Sarwari won $50,000 in the Jan. 20 drawing and tripled it with a Power Play add on, the Virginia Lottery said in a March 14 news release.
