The Boston Red Sox just said goodbye to Rafael Devers, but will get reacquainted with their former designated hitter this weekend in San Francisco.

When manager Alex Cora was asked during spring training if he planned to bring in any Red Sox alumni -- namely David Ortiz, who later said Devers rarely responded to his messages -- he pushed back firmly on the idea.

It wasn't a series highlighted on the calendar at the beginning of the season, but it's now the showdown all of Major League Baseball is talking about. The Boston Red Sox have arrived in the City by the Bay for the weekend to take on the San Francisco Giants.
