For the first time since 2020, Chipotle saw a decrease in quarterly same-store sales. CEO Scott Boatwright pointed to cautious consumers and a spending slowdown as the primary culprits for a sales dip and lower-than-expected quarterly revenues.

In an interview with Yahoo Finance, CEO Scott Boatwright said it does not plan to raise prices "anytime in the near future" given the state of the consumer.

While Chipotle has thus far benefited from menu innovation and optimizing kitchen operations, the company could face some impact from import tariffs on goods such as avocados and beef.
