Thiruvananthapuram: Reacting to the deporting of Indian nationals from the U.S., the former diplomat and senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor defended Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday, saying diplomacy does not mean saying everything in public.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, while opening up on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent visit to the United States, said that though there are some important outcomes for the country from the visit, it has to be answered whether the PM raise the issue of the manner in which the Indian nationals were deported from the US.

Modi meeting, expressing hope that Modi defended Indian migrants. He praised the outcome of trade negotiations and noted positive statements from both leaders. Tharoor acknowledged Trump's compliment to Modi as a strong endorsement of his negotiating skills.
