Spencer Strider is back on the injured list, less than a week after he made his much-anticipated return from elbow surgery. Strider strained his right hamstring while playing catch on Monday afternoon at Truist Park.

The good news is that we now have an update on the severity of Strider’s injury and fortunately, it doesn’t appear to have been as bad as it possibly could’ve been. Mark Bowman of MLB.com was the first to report that Strider has a Grade 1 Hamstring Strain.

Atlanta Braves starting pitcher Spencer Strider has an official diagnosis on his hamstring injury. According to 92.9 The Game's Grant McAuley, Strider he has a Grade 1 strain. The Braves starter is frustrated by the set back but is ready to do what it takes to return to the mound.
