Defending champion England has staged a remarkable late recovery from two goals down to take its quarterfinal against Sweden to extra time at the Women’s European Championship.

The Sweden Women Euro 2025 squad have been knocked out of the competition by England on penalties.They won all of their group matches with the most impressive performance coming against Germany to top the group.
