Several universities across the country have confirmed to UPI that international students have had their visas revoked without notice or had their Student and Exchange Visitor Information System records terminated.

While not all the affected schools said immigration status changes were tied to activism, they come as the Trump administration cracks down on students who protested Israel’s war in Gaza.

Colleges and universities across the country say the visas of some international students have been revoked in recent days without notice, causing confusion on campuses and panic among students, some of whom have filed lawsuits.
