The world No. 1 made it clear that she didn’t call Laura Siegemund’s game “annoying” after defeating the 104th-ranked German to reach the Wimbledon semifinals on Tuesday.

The American No. 13 seed did not shrink from her duel with Sabalenka on Centre Court, going after her shots at all times.
