Things are going to change for the San Francisco 49ers in the not-so-distant future. Brock Purdy is currently playing on the contract of a seventh-round pick, which comes with a salary of only $5.3 million in 2025. He’s due for a major raise, somewhere north of $40 million per year.

The San Francisco 49ers are continuing work on a long-term contract extension for quarterback Brock Purdy—one that could make him one of the NFL's highest-paid players.

Purdy is unlucky in that he's eligible for a contract extension following the 49ers' injury-plagued season that they finished at 6-11.
