New school and school district performance ratings are out across Texas, grading on a scale from A to F. But district leaders across the state argue the results are not only outdated, but they're unfair.

Several major North Texas school districts, including Dallas, Arlington and Fort Worth, saw drops in their academic ratings from the TEA. The 2023 ratings are released following a two year legal battle.

Failing grades for districts were made public for the first time since 2019. They showed schools with the poorest students were more likely to get a low score.
