A look at Michigan’s snowfall so far this winter reveals what type of snow fell. An area over northwest Lower Michigan and the eastern U.P. are pacing well ahead of average amounts of snowfall.

It’s worth noting that this has been a winter full of both below-average temperatures and below-average snowfall (nearly 10 inches short), although not as significant as the past two seasons.

Cleveland records 31.3 inches of snow in 2024-2025, below average despite colder temperatures. Northern snow belt sees heavier snowfall than Hopkins.
