Facing the Red Sox at Fenway Park, the Angels wasted no time igniting their offense. In the top of the first inning, they erupted for six runs, a surge highlighted by three home runs. Zach Neto led off with a solo shot, followed by a three-run homer from Mike Trout, and capped by Jo Adell's solo blast over the Green Monster.

Mike Trout had three hits, including a three-run, 454-foot homer off the left-center field light stanchion in the Angels’ six-run first inning and Los Angeles held on to beat the Boston Red Sox 7-6.
