Boston Red Sox star Jarren Duran says he attempted suicide when struggling with his mental health following two difficult on-field seasons in 2021 and 2022 to begin his MLB career.

Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran said he went public about his 2022 suicide attempt to “reach those who feel alone.”

Duran revealed his 2022 suicide attempt in the fourth episode of the Netflix eight-part docuseries’ “The Clubhouse: A Year with the Red Sox,” which was released earlier Tuesday.
