New Red Sox southpaw Garrett Crochet addressed the media on Wednesday and touched on the topic of extension talks.

The Boston Red Sox got their guy. On Wednesday night the team agreed to sign All-Star third baseman Alex Bregman to a three-year, $120 million. It’s a bombshell signing that adds a much-needed right-handed bat to the Red Sox lineup. It also adds a jolt of excitement to Boston’s outlook for the 2025 season.

Ace status is never given. It’s taken. But it sure looks like Crochet is the real deal, which should be fun for years to come.
