With some potential question marks in the receiving corps for 2025, the Chiefs seem to have opted to keep some familiar faces in the room for Patrick Mahomes to throw to.

The Kansas City Chiefs had their share of departures to kick off the 2025 offseason. Following the shocking decision to trade Joe Thuney, the Chiefs lost Justin Reid and Tershawn Wharton in the first week of free agency.

Per multiple reports the veteran tailback has re-signed with the Chiefs. It’s a one-year, $1.5 million deal with up to $1 million in incentives. Hunt, 29, was a third-round pick of the Chiefs in 2017. He led the league in rushing as a rookie, with 1,327 yards.

After leaving the team in 2018, Hunt was given the opportunity to reunite with the Chiefs early in the 2024 season. Hunt went on to start eight of his 13 regular-season appearances for the Chiefs, leading the team in carries (200),
